Une Roumaine au pays de la francophonie. Mélanges en l’honneur de la professeure Margareta Gyurcsik
Review
Abstract
Ileana Neli Eiben, lecturer, and Andreea Gheorghiu, lecturer, both teaching French at the Faculty of Letters of the West University of Timișoara, Romania, have brought together, in a beautiful anniversary volume, studies in honour of Professor Margareta Gyurcsik upon the threshold of her 80th birthday. The title of the work is an intertextual allusion to Francophones at heart and in spirit, teachers, researchers, writers, lovers or enthusiasts of Francophone literature: Une Roumaine au pays de la francophonie and was published by the Presses de l'Université d'Ouest de Timișoara, at the end of 2022.
The ‘Tabula gratulatoria’ lists fifty names of those who participated in this gesture, which bears witness to the impressive gratitude towards a personality who was a pioneer in the fraternity of Francophone studies on Romanian soil.
